A proud son of Laikipia and alumnus of Ngumo Boys High School, Mwalimu Kuria built his foundation on education, discipline, and a commitment to continuous growth.
His professional journey began in education, where he excelled as a teacher and later rose through leadership positions, including Head of Department and Principal. His work at schools such as Nanyuki High and Gatundia Secondary helped establish systems focused on academic excellence, discipline, and lasting results.
His journey later expanded beyond the classroom into Kenya's electoral and governance systems, where he played a critical role in rebuilding electoral processes after 2007.

Education
Mwalimu Kuria built his leadership foundation in education, rising from teacher to Head of Department and ultimately to Principal. He helped transform institutions including Nanyuki High and Gatundia Secondary into centers of academic excellence and discipline.
Governance & Elections
Following the national call to serve, he played a critical role in rebuilding Kenya's electoral system after 2007. As a Returning Officer and Elections Coordinator, he managed electoral processes across Samburu, Baringo, Laikipia, and Nakuru counties.
His expertise also contributed to election laws, training manuals, and civic education under the 2010 Constitution, including work on political education materials for the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties.
